Coach Sharon Grew up playing club soccer locally for Braddock Road and Mclean Youth Soccer. Played high school soccer for Lake Braddock. Moved on to play collegiately at NC State and VCU.


Shay became a professional after college and played in the first divisions of Switzerland, Portugal, and Scotland. Won the Portuguese league and cup with Sporting and played in Champions League the following year (2018). Went on to play in Scotland for Glasgow City and played in the quarter-finals of Champions League against Wolfsburg (2020). Won the Scottish Women’s Premier League in 2021, and had to retire early due to injury. Graduated from VCU with a BS in Exercise Science and has a deep passion for soccer and sports performance.
